Dorothy M. Lundquist, of Arnold, died Feb. 10 at a Sonora care center. She was 93.

Mrs. Lundquist was born in Malta, Mont. She lived in Arnold part-time since 1951, and was a full-time resident for 11 years.

She also served as executive director of the Lions Blind Center in Oakland for seven years and was a recipient of the Helen Keller Award.

She was an artist whose interests included oil painting, knitting, sewing and various other hobbies and crafts.

Her family said she loved to vacation on cruise ships. Between ages 35 and 92, she logged at least 200 cruises, often taking family members with her.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Nichols, of Arnold, and Judy Stanfield, of Hayward; three grandchildren, William Cole, of Fremont, Arthur Cole, of Lakewood, and Michele Eastwood, of Arnold; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

No services are planned. Donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice of the Sierra, P.O. Box 4805, Sonora CA 95370.
