Ray 'Ray Baby' Jones DDS - May 14, 1933 - April 12, 2017

Ray Jones

Ray Baby passed away, April 12, 2017. He lived a life focused on his religion, family, and friends. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid South High Cub, served a mission in Norway, and married the love of his life, Marva. After Dental School, he built his first dental unit, where many of his innovations are still being used around the world today. He also trained in facial and plastic surgery to correct cleft palates and other facial anomalies and injuries. His Dental work took him and his wife all over the world assisting those less fortunate. This includes another mission, with the love of his life Marva, to Zimbabwe. He refereed high school basketball, was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors, and provided his family with more great times then not. He introduced his children to sports, hunting, boating, river trips, motorcycles, and anything to enjoy the fruits of life, as long as it wasn't on Sunday. He was never shy about helping those in need. After the passing of his beloved Marva, Ray married Ingrid, with whom they shared the remainder of his life. The latter part of his life he struggled with blindness and then a stroke, but his sense of humor was sharp to the end. Ray Baby will be missed. He is survived by his offspring: Rhett "Jonzy", Brandt (Julie), Dane, Shawn (Art), Trent, and Cori (Steve deceased) (Craig), 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Jean, brother Harlow, loving wife Marva, son in law Steven Byers, 6 dogs, a feral ferret, and too many toys to count. Ray, I hope you smell the waterfall.

Services will be held Wednesday April 19th at the Bountiful 20th Ward. 1400 S 100 E, Bountiful. Friends are invited between 9 am - 11 am, with the Services at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the LDS Church's Perpetual Education Fund.
