Thoughts of Intelligent Design vs Evolution (C) Copyright 2009 Jonzy Given the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin has again stirred the debate with those who believe in Creationism, latter called "Intelligent Design", thoughts arise about both subjects. History has shown humans came up with definitions for matters that don't know answers to. Case in point: Dragons, Witches, the earth is flat, the Romans lack of a negative value, or the Sun revolving around the Earth to name a few. On the other hand, Evolution brings thoughts of man evolving from Apes. A person in favor of "Intelligent Design" may say: "how can I take a pile of metal, rubber, and glass, encase it with dynamite, and blow it up to get an automobile? The creation of this automobile can only be done with Intelligence." No argument here. However, in rebuttal: I can take a pitre dish, fill it with water, sit it on my window sill, and over time life will exist. It may only be mold, but is this not a form of life? A person in favor of "Evolution" may say: "we evolved from Apes", yet this statement is false. We, humans, did not evolve from Apes. Our lineage came from the same branch of life, yet both species seperated paths long before humans knew they were different from the Ape. To believe in "Intelligent Design" is only that. A belief. The same goes for "Evolution". However, "Intelligent Design" has the same intellect as Dragons, Witches, the earth is flat, or the Sun revolving around the Earth. The so called 'theory' of "Evolution" is certainly a more plausible answer to the question: "Where did we come from?" I'm not saying there is no God. I believe there was a man named Jesus, one named Mohammad, Darwin, Neil Armstrong, and even D.B Cooper. But I'll bet you I could take that pitre dish, fill it with water, and after 4 billion years there would be a form of life that could intelligently design some type of 'automobile'.
